It stems from the three state-of-the-art backward integrated plants, with end to end production capability and from being in complete harmony with the environment. It stems from having produced over 400 million sq feet of decorative laminate and veneer till date and 135 million cubic feet of plywood and still not being afraid to push ourselves to go further. It stems from importing the best quality of raw materials from all over the world and continually elevating our own expectations to better yours.

Spread over a sprawling area of 85,000 sq.mtrs, and located in the raw material hub of the country, the three state-of-the-art factories forms the backbone and the strength of our company. ISO 9001: 2008 certified, our plants are fully integrated manufacturing units, dedicated equally to protecting the environment through resource conservation and waste minimization and rolling out nothing but the best of ply, veneers and laminates.

    FREE FROM WOOD DESTROYING ORGANISMS

    Special chemical treatments and R&D formulated bonding glue protects Sonear products from the effects of powder & borer.

    2.5 TIMES STRONGER

    Compression of two additional layers of cross core and a 0.6mm thick decorative face in just 4mm thickness enhances the density & tensile strength by over 2.5 times.

    WATER & MOISTURE RESISTANT

    Sonear offers all weather protection on a wide range of products suitable for use in exteriors as well as interiors.

    PROVISION FOR MULTIPLE SANDING

    Sonear's 0.6mm decorative face can withstand sanding up to three times more than ordinary decorative ply with 0.2mm thickness.

    BETTER GRIP

    Superior density and a 0.6mm thick decorative face provide a tighter gripping surface for heavy nail application jobs. This ensures that no cracks appear on the surface of the ply.

  • Technology and Innovation

    PRE-PRESS CALIBRATION TECHNOLOGY (PCT)

    Sonear is India's first and only company deploying the PCT Technology in its manufacturing process. In this process, components like the base and face are calibrated and cold-pressed on high-tech machines before undergoing high-density bonding.

    6 PLY CONSTRUCTION IN 4MM THICKNESS

    Sonear is India's first company to introduce this revolutionary concept. This involves the compression of two additional layers of cross core and a 0.6 mm thick decorative face in just 4mm thickness, enhancing the density and tensile strength of the ply by over 2.5 times than ordinary plywood. The superior density of 6 ply construction in 4mm thickness provides more dimensional stability to the Sonear's ply which enables it to withstand sanding up to three times more than ordinary decorative ply.

    Sonear is the pioneering company to introduce this technology in the field of laminates. Meaning Stain-free, Abrasion-proof, Fire resistant & Electrostat Retardant, Sonear Laminates remain scratch-free and stain-free for years. Sonear laminates are 100% termite, borer proof & boiling water proof and adhere to BIS and NEMA LD3 - USA quality standards with negligible Formalin emission. Sonear Laminates offer an unimaginative range of decorative laminates with over 500 designs.

    Mela-Film Technology

    This involves treating the plywood with a special component using a unique process to impart a distinct gloss to the face of the decorative veneer, making it look the way you always wanted it to be.

    LIFETIME WARRANTY PLYWOOD (L.T.W.)

    A premium ISO 9001: 2008 certified ply made from Gurjan timber, a hardwood sourced and selected from the best of forests, Lifetime warranty (LTW) is an assurance from Sonear of continued performance, satisfaction and longevity to last you for generations. Passed through some of the most stringent quality procedures, these plywoods are free from wood destroying organisms, are completely fungus, termite and borer resistant and are built to stand the rigours of time.

    MOISTURE RESITANT (MR GRADE) COMMERCIAL PLYWOOD

    Created following stringent quality norms, this versatile, ready-to-use smart plywood is the preferred choice for wood work. Ideal for use in hot & humid climatic conditions, this commercial plywood is made from seasoned hardwood core bonded with Urea Melamine Formaldehyde, under computer controlled temperature and pressure. It is fully powder proof, termite and moisture resistant, re-usable and hence quite economical.

    BOILING WATER RESISTANT (BWR GRADE) PLYWOOD

    Sonear's BWR Smart Plywood is core bonded with high quality Phenol Formaldehyde Resin. It then undergoes chemical impregnation treatment under high temperature and vacuum pressure. The result is a high quality ply that can resist boiling water, cold water, climate variations and powder and termite attacks. It does not delaminate even when immersed in hot water for more than 8 hours.

    MARINE GRADE PLYWOOD

    Sonear's Marine Plywood is manufactured from special hardwood veneer and is bonded with undiluted Phenol Formaldehyde Resin at high temperature and pressure. This plywood can withstand extreme changes in temperature, humidity and alternate wetting and drying which are the prerequisites for any good grade plywood used in applications. Due to its nature of application it can resist fungal and micro bacterial attacks, besides being powder proof, guaranteeing protection against borer & termites. Strong enough to withstand excess load, thrust and vibrations, this kind of plywood is dimensionally stable and an ideal choice for premium projects.

    FIRE RETARDANT PLYWOOD

    Sonear Fire Retardant Plywood has been developed through extensive R&D and a specialized manufacturing process. In the adverse event of a fire, the IS 5509 certified Sonear Fire Retardant Plywood delays the spread of fire due to its chemically

    treated slow burning properties. The low flammability, low rate of burning and higher flame penetration time provides "Safety" and "Comfort".

    FLEXI PLY

    Sonear Flexi Ply opens a new avenue in décor with the ability to mould into round shaped surfaces.

    BLOCKBOARD

    Sonear Blockboards are made of extra thick Grade 'A' veneers with core composed of premium imported pine logs, cut from central beam. They are fabricated from extra thick circular pieces of imported hardwood and long core veneers and bonded with Urea Formaldehyde under high pressure and temperature. Utmost care is taken to ensure uniformity eliminating gaps, overlapping or corrugation which prevents the chance of the board disintegrating when cut. Sonear Blockboards provide exceptional strength and durability to wall cabinets, cupboards, wardrobe and furniture with additional grip for screws and nails.

    Natural Decorative Plywood

    "De Natura, Sonear's Natural Decorative IS:1328 certified Plywood is made from AAA+ Grade veneer with a choice of 250 species of logs sourced from the best of forests across 6 continents. Special Italian Jointer is used for stiching the veneers and World-class Caliberators ensure that there are no core gap marks on the ply surface giving it a flawless finish.

    Melange Veneers

    These veneers are made through fusion of assorted shades of veneer with innovative designs giving the user a unique and exclusive product. Each veneer design is distinct, truly a designer product.

    Raw Canvas

    Raw Canvas available in 6 Scintillating effects (Cubism, Stripes, Raw Wood, Diamond, Polka, Beehive & Clip Board) create an ambience of absolute class and sophistication. These special effects can be executed on all 250 exotic species of veneers.
